The Client:
Our client is a multinational manufacturing company with operations in Germany, USA, Switzerland, Great Britain and China. Founded in 1980, the company specialises in the production of ceramic components for use in semiconductors, the aerospace industry and biomechanics, among many others. Currently employing 80 staff at their UK plant, Blue Apple works with the company on a retained basis to provide a comprehensive range of HR support services.
Blue Apple’s Approach:
Blue Apple designed a fully comprehensive outsourced HR strategy for the company, incorporating compliance, performance management, recruitment support and ad hoc advice. Our Consultants spend two half days a month on site implementing this strategy and dealing with any HR issues that arise, as well as being on hand to provide unlimited telephone and email advice and guidance as required.
The Service:
Implementing the HR strategy has involved the following:
- Provision of documents such as Job Descriptions, Contracts of Employment and a tailored Company Handbook to ensure legislative compliance
- Managing all new employee administration, including contracts, offer letters, medical questionnaires and new starter information
- Providing the client with a bank of standard HR letters/forms
- Unlimited telephone advice from two nominated HR Consultants on the implementation of policies and procedures in the handbook, with a guaranteed written response within 48 hours
- Advance notification to managers of changes in employment legislation
- Staff handbook updates
- Development of an appraisal system linked to training and development.
